Reduce Risk and Meet Your Objectives

HDP is experienced in successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget, and we can help you do the same. Across the public sector, our project managers have brought their skills to bear on the complex and unique issues that public sector managers confront in delivering value to their stakeholders.

Though our clients appreciate our record of success, we continue to seek out new and innovative ways to reduce project risk while pursuing the efficient and successful delivery of your project. With the introduction of a leading edge approach to project management, Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), HDP continues to add value to your organization.

Though IV&V was originally developed to reduce risk and to ensure correct development of computer software on very large systems, HDP recognized that the concept of IV&V could be very successfully applied to organizational management systems. HDP has evolved this systematic approach to risk reduction from its focus on software to its application to all aspects of a project, including management, technology, business process and governance.

HDP’s IV&V methodology is an assessment of product and of process that supports management's objectives of meeting user requirements and reducing risk to schedule, cost and technology. Our methodology is aligned with IEEE 1012, the international standard for V&V, and supports Treasury Board Enhanced Management Framework (TB EMF), which calls for Verification and Validation plans to be developed during the planning process.

IV&V is independent of the project development and management teams in three dimensions—managerial, technical and financial. This Independence provides an un-biased and independent assessment that identifies risks overlooked by those too close to the project.
